This weeks marks six months of nursing for the babe and me, which means I've earned my "silver boobies," according to the breastfeeding community. Before girl was born, I never thought I'd be celebrating the six month mark, as I planned to breastfeed Edie well past a year without a second thought. I also planned on it being the most lovely, natural thing I've ever done. HA! These have been the most brutal months of my life, hands down. We FOUGHT for this nursing half-birthday, SO hard, so gosh darnit we're going to celebrate it by titling a blog post something like "Silver Boobies!"
Here's to another half year of boobin', God willing!
