Babymoon Booked!

After researching several options and figuring out our work schedules, we've decided to pack up in the next couple of weeks and head to...

I'm so excited! We actually considered Austin for our honeymoon, but ended up in the Northwest.  We've always wanted to go explore this city and we figure it might be a little easier to do without a little one :) So, Texas friends, what should we do/see/eat when we're there?

Eeeek having a trip to look forward to is so much fun!

  1. TEXAS!! Austin is one of my all-time favorite cities - Y'all will love it! I'd say this one thing....expect to eat a lot of amazing food!

I know you have food allergies, but ATX is pretty sensitive to such things. ;) Magnolia Cafe is GF friendly and delicious! Hula Hut is infamous and right on the lake & next door is a great coffee shop called Mozarts. My favorite ATX coffee shop is Dominican Joe's on S. Congress & Riverside; they have a pretty cool story. There are also food trucks on South Congress with lots of other shops that you could walk around and spend time going through. And well my restaurant list could keep going, so feel free to reach out if you'd like more suggestions.
I would say for an outdoorsy day, you should check out Zilker park, they have a swimming hole you can go to, areas on the river where you can rent paddleboats or D could paddleboard and then there's just tons of space to play frisbee, hammock or enjoy a picnic and pretty much have the view as depicted in the art above.

Have a wonderful time! Excited to see pictures of your adventures!

  2. AHHH! Jordan, we're making a trip there soon too to see my brother-in-law!! He absolutely LOVES it there. You have to go somewhere overlooking Lake Travis. The lake is BREATHTAKING. Almost looks like an ocean. My in-laws went to a restaurant called the Oasis that overlooks the lake and really liked it.
